The Riverside School District received a $1,000,000 RACP Grant from the state earmarked for new building construction, energy efficient projects and school safety. Riverside will accomplish two main objectives with this funding:
1. Ensure properties are safe for all students, staff and visitors.
2. Create the necessary classroom and office space for the expanding district.
Phase one of the RACP Grant was the replacement of the dilapidated entrance way to the district’s high school. This phase began in June and completed on schedule in August. The remaining projects will begin this winter with an estimated completion of the summer 2020. The complete listing of grant-approved projects, anticipated completion dates and locations are:
High school: Entrance renovation: summer 2019
East Elementary: Rain gutter replacement, building envelope upgrades, sidewalk replacement summer of 2020
West Elementary: Construction of Administration Office Building, summer of 2020
Conversation of current administration offices into classrooms: summer of 2020
Field house: Repair of damaged roof: spring 2020
