The sixth annual Vikings Helping Vikings golf tournament is being held on Saturday, Aug. 4, at Pine Hills Country Club, 140 S. Keyser Ave. Taylor. Registration is at 7 a.m. and Tee-off at 8 a.m.
Cost is $100. per golfer/$400 per team, which must be paid by Saturday, July 28th. Format is captain and crew, shotgun start, with flight payouts, door prizes and awards. The maximum number of golfers is 144; first-come-first served. Lunch will follow at Queen of the Apostles Church Hall, 714 Hawthorne St., Avoca.

For the past several years, Eileen and Paul Miller have supported Lackawanna College Criminal Justice majors through the establishment and recent endowment of the Paul J. Miller Memorial Scholarship. Each year, family and friends host a golf tournament to benefit the scholarship fund. The eighth annual Paul J. Miller Jr. Golf Tournament is set for Sunday, Aug. 12, at Pine Hills Golf Course in Taylor. Registration begins at 6:45 a.m. with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. Following the tournament, a benefit for both golfers and non-golfers will be held at the Waldorf Park Social Club, 13 Waldorf Lane in Scranton from 1-5 p.m.
