Connor Brown, an eighth-grade student at Riverside Junior-Senior High School, won second place in the regional competition of the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science. He was awarded for his experiment with electromagnetism, in which he tested the effect that increasing the power of the neodymium magnet had on the amount of electricity that was generated through copper coil surrounding the magnet.
