Recently the Old Forge School Directors and High School principal Chris Gatto took the time to recognize senior Santo Cerminaro. Cerminaro has enlisted in the United States Navy and will be attending basic training at Naval Station Great Lakes in Illinois in September. He plans on pursuing the position of hospital corpsman. He will be in basic training for eight weeks.

Cerminaro is a part of the school recycling program, where he is in charge of the recyclables for the entire district. He, along with the other members of the team, will be participating in the Greensylvania Recycling Competition. Cerminaro attends the Wilkes-Barre Career and Technology Center, where he is in the welding shop. In his free time, Cerminaro enjoys spending time outdoors and volunteering in the community. He is the son of Santo Cerminaro and Jennifer Bellenzeni.
