The Taylor Community Library, 710 S. Main St., Taylor, will host the following upcoming programs.

THURSDAY, NOV. 7

Toddler Storytime: 10:30-11:15 a.m. Children ages 2 1/2 to 5 can attend for stories and a craft. Registration is required.

Polish Language Class: 4-5:30 p.m. Classes are held weekly at the library.

Chicklits Book Club: 6:30-7:30 p.m. This book club reads and discusses fiction books on the first Thursday of the month. Call the library for more information or to join.

FRIDAY, NOV. 8

New to Medicare Class: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. At this class, presented by APPRISE, you will be able to discuss all of your Medicare options and get the information needed to choose the plan that’s right for you. Pre-registration is required. Call APPRISE at 570-347-5616 for registration.

SATURDAY, NOV. 9

Saturday Teen Snack and Chat: 11:30 a.m. to noon. Teens in grades seven through 12. Bring your ideas to the meeting. Snacks provided.

Read to the Cats: 1-2 p.m. Read a story to one of the cats that will be visiting the library. You can bring your own book or pick one at the library. Ages 4 and up. Registration is required.

Snowman Candle: 1 p.m. Teen craft.

MONDAY, NOV. 11

Taylor Community Library will be closed in observance of Veteran’s Day.

TUESDAY, NOV. 12

School Age Funtime: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to join in for crafts, games, and other fun activities. Registration is required.

Purl Girls Book Club: 1- 2 p.m. This book club meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. to discuss cozy, and sometimes not so cozy, mysteries. They also share any knitting projects they are working on. Visit or call the library for more information or to join this group.

Dark Shadows Club: 6-8 p.m. The group will spend two hours watching the gang on Widow’s Hill. It is sure to bring back memories.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 13

Chills and Frills Book Club: 1-2 p.m. This fiction book club meets on the second Wednesday of the month. Visit or call the library for more information.

Crochet Workshop: 1- 2:30 p.m. If you are learning to crochet, already know the crochet basics or would like to share your projects with someone, this is the group for you. Meets weekly and is free but registration is requested.

Chernobyl – The HBO Miniseries: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Episodes 3 and 4. Chernobyl dramatizes the story of the 1986 nuclear accident — one of the worst man-made catastrophes in history — and the sacrifices made to save Europe from unimaginable disaster.
