Food Pantry Open
St. Michael’s Orthodox Church Food Pantry, 512 Winter St. in Old Forge. will be open Thursday, Oct. 4, 11 a.m. until noon. This food pantry serves Old Forge, Taylor and Duryea. Anyone needing assistance from the food pantry should call 570-457-3703 or visit the church website at stmichaelof.org for requirement criteria.
CRMO Awareness Walk
A chronic Recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) awareness walk will be held at McDade Park on Sunday, Oct. 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in honor of Nicholas Suchecki, who is 10 years old and goes to Old Forge Elementary. The walk is to raise awareness for CRMO, a rare, inflammatory bone disease. There will be a basket raffle as well.
The Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church, 174 N. Main St. in Old Forge, will hold it’s annual fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be homemade soups, hotdogs, wimpies, sausage and peppers, meatball sandwiches, baked goods, crafts, a white elephant table and books. Admission is free.

Pasta for Paws
The Scranton Animal Association will hold a Pasta for Paws dinner on Sunday, Oct. 7, noon to 4 p.m. at Arcaro & Genell, 443. S. Main St. in Old Forge. Tickets are $10; $5 for children 12 and younger. Proceeds benefit low-cost spay and neutering. For tickets, call 570-562-1311. Eat in or take out.
