Church Craft Fair
Queen of the Apostles Parish’s social concerns/respect life ministry will have a fall craft fair on Saturday, Sept. 15, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parish hall, 742 Spring St. in Avoca.
In addition to the fair, there will be breakfast and lunch for sale and a raffle of prizes donated by the vendors and committee members. Treats also will be available for children.

Church Flea Market
First United Methodist Church, 402 S. Main St. in Taylor, will hold its annual bazaar/flea market on Saturday, Sept. 22, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Homemade baked goods, toys, books, jewelry and seasonal items are some of the items that will be available. Lunch will also be available. There is no fee for admission.
The Old Forge School District Homecoming parade will leave Friday, Sept. 21, at approximately 5:45 p.m. The parade will travel from OFHS to Oak street and turn right on to Main Street. The parade will turn onto Miles Street and end at the stadium.
Wilkes University awarded 418 doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degrees to students graduating at the summer commencement ceremony. They included: Ryan Cavanaugh of Taylor, who earned a Master of Science in education; Catherine Toraldo of Old Forge, who earned a Master of Science in education; Jessica Mischello of Old Forge, who earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing; and Joshua Tisdel of Old Forge, who earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing.
Taylor Fire Department No. 1, Ladder 95, 614 Union St. in Taylor, will hold its fall train, toy and collectibles show on Saturday, Sept. 22, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $3; free for kids younger than 10. The show offers more than 85 vendors. The vendors bring in different trains from full-size Lionel to HO-scale trains. Toys for all ages and craft vendors will also be on site.
