Three fun-filled events supporting good causes are on tap for this weekend in the Triboro area.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, Hospice of the Sacred Heart will have its Remembrance Walk, the Women’s Guild of Divine Mercy Parish will host its 19th annual craft fair and United Methodist Church of Taylor will hold its annual bazaar and flea market.

Hospice of the Sacred Heart Remembrance Walk

Hospice of the Sacred Heart’s Remembrance Walk will take place from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at McDade Park on the Scranton-Taylor border.

The event is held as a way for anyone in the community to memorialize loved ones who have passed away. Many of the families of Hospice of the Sacred Heart patients from the past 15 years are expected to participate in the event.

Walkers can expect a one-mile walk around McDade Park that’s appropriate for varying levels of physical fitness.

The event will also include a number of other elements, including a D.J., a basket raffle, an art project and a gift card pull.

Tickets for the walk are $30, and free for children under 12, and will include a pre-walk snack and lunch, a T-shirt with a customizable bib for participants who want to walk in memory of someone and a balloon release.
